Asked for Swag at the DVC Member center at the VGC and got this cutie magnet

My wife asked at VDH yesterday and they didn’t have anything unless we did a tour. We already have 650 points. I ain’t taking no stinking tour for a trinket!

They check because they have the good swag for direct members. Coasters, sling bags, lanyards, hats, cups...

At McKim’s, they scanned my membership card from my Apple Wallet. Got two of the magnets (one each for my wife and I) but only one pin, they said because my name is the only one on the membership (have owned since before we got married).
On the Wish, they pretty much would have given me as much of any of the swag that I wanted (didn’t take much because we cruise a lot and already had multiples of everything they were giving out).

That's interesting. They must not be able to decide what to give without scanning. My one and only visit to the lounge in Tomorrowland started with them giving me a couple plastic cups, a few stickers and maybe some decals. Nothing of any value to me, but they were telling me how I was lucky to get so much stuff. Meanwhile, I'm thinking that i don't want any plastic cups or stickers...haha. My daughter asked why I got so much stuff and said maybe it was because I had just bought the new tower, which wasn't open, yet. I would have preferred a $5 gift card, but that's just me.

During my stay at RIV last month, the DVC rep downstairs were just handing them out when I stopped to chat.
At McKim’s, they did scan my code when waiting in line to check in and gave me magnets.
When my friend and I stopped at the DVC center at DCA last week to see what they were handing out, they asked for my cell phone number to enter in their iPad, and said you got the magnet already. I was like oh is yours Dumbo also? Then I am good.

He only gave us one magnet and both of our names are on two memberships. I told my wife we should go back and get another one because how do they know we're even married, but since we of course live together she said it was fine, but I noticed he kind of had an attitude, not sure why I guess they don't look kindly on resale maybe lol

I liked the magnet, but it does come across as cheap and tacky how they acted. It's really not all that big a deal lol. I agree with poster above on the Disney Magic they were super generous. We got prints and all kinds of goodies (before we were even DVC) same lots of goodies from our guide when we were considering it.

I just finished wandered around Pixar Place to kill time and was surprised to see two guides in the lobby there He gave me two caps and swag bag which was a nice surprise. Perhaps stop by there next time for additional goodies lol

I prefer DLH . Crazy huh after my rants about VGC. I haven’t stayed at DLH for several years though.
