Yeah, I get the same thing with the weather. It was 80's last week and supposed to be back to the 80's after we leave. I definitely didn't bring enough warm clothes to wear.

Looks like we are all going to have to wear our longjohns for the meet Tuesday night! No matter, we'll jiust put on lots of layers and look and feel like the Michelin man. We're tough northerners. Well...I just woke up after leaving the AK earlier today and I think that I am feeling sick.

I am staying in the room tonight and maybe tomorrow if I still feel sick.

I am trying to drink plenty liquids but I am just worn out and feel sick and light light headed with a stuffy,sore nose and feeling very warm.

I hope everyone has a great time.

I'm going to still try to make it but I have a sick BIL and sick SIL with me and I don't want them to end up with pneumonia. We'll stop by after our Teppanado dinner. May be just long enough to say hi to the owner's locker people there though. Depends on the timing of our dinner. I know we won't be up for standing around in the cold very long. My FIL and MIL can't take the cold, either. And personally, it was darn cold out there today! Not too excited about tomorrow's temps myself.

Boy do I get that! I'm not looking forward to it either, but I'm going to wear 5 layers of shirts, a pair of tights, and my windbreaker and hope it's enough. I did NOT bring the right jacket along! Hopefully the wind will die down by then. It did get calm last night, so hopefully the same thing happens tonight.

Ray, I hope you feel better soon! I'd love to meet you, but take care of yourself!

Thank you to those of you who braved the cold to meet, even for a few minutes! Great to see both old friends and a few new faces! Hopefully our next meet will have either better weather or be indoors!

We even asked in the wine shop and of course, they knew nothing about Owners Locker meets in their area every Tuesday night. It was so cold and my inlaws had already gone to the car to wait for us so we didn't wait around until 8:30. Next time! Hopefully it will be warmer.

Were you at the wine kiosk right in front of Chefs de France? By a little before 8 there were already a number of DISers as well as those there for the OL meet. John (jdvm) from Owners Locker was there from 7:30 until about 8:45 and he has posted photos from the event on the OL facebook site.

Really? We were all standing there at that time yet. It was actually a bigger crowd than I expected with the weather. Only a few of us hardy northerners stayed for Illuminations though. It was just John and I for a while, but by 7:30 quite a few others had arrived. I think most were gone by 9:00 though.
