DVC meet 12/07/10 France Thanks to those who came!

We'll be in the World Dec 4-10 at BCV. I'm not an OL member though. Is that OK? Maybe I'll join someday...

What time is the wine meet on the 7th?

Looks like we will just have to run into each other at OKW since our trip is 11/28 - 12/5. We shouldn't be to hard to spot my 6'8 red headed BIL will be with us.

Are most of us Owner's Locker users? If so, we might just all plan to overlap at John's Epcot wine meet on Tuesday the 7th.

I was hoping for a Merry Members Mixer event again, but it looks like they aren't going to do that the first week this year, so that wont work. It looks like Dec. 7th gets the most people though, so can we at least nail down that date? We'll have a few days to figure out a time and place yet.

Other years we have used different DVC resorts as our meeting places....Usually the most recent. Since BLT isn't very open to visitors though, I don't see us doing it there.

In the past we have met at the golden spike room at VWL, The Gurgling Suitcase at OKW, Artist Pallet at SSR, the lobby of Jambo, and the library at Kidani.

I am, and I was planning on stopping by and meeting John, etc.

FYI, you do not have to be an OL owner to attend John's gathering at Epcot. It's very informal and we are mostly DIS members sitting around talking anyway.

Just haven't seen a need (read: justification in this economy) for OL yet, though I certainly understand those of you that use and enjoy John's obviously great service.

Maybe I can stand outside the door and meet everyone as you guys go in. LOL

I haven't personally been to one yet (either not been in Epcot or days of the week haven't matched up yet...but this time it will! ) BUT...

Owner's Locker hosts a meet & greet in the France Pavilion on Tuesday evenings. So the one that everyone is referring to will be on Tuesday the 7th. Another OL owner who's been before will have to chime in with the actual start time, but they are there until just before Illuminations starts.

Owner's Locker meet is over in front of France between the crepe stand and the wine stand and we all stop by to say hi to John, one of the creators of Owner's Locker, and it's a nice time to meet other locker owners and chat for a bit - I do plan to be there!

I think John's meet is usually around 7-9, so we could plan to meet at the beginning or end of that time period. The place is the tables just to the right of the wine booth in France. I don't want to encroach entirely on John's time, but maybe if we planned to meet at at 6-7 that would work, and then those of us who wish to stay around for John's OL meet could do so. OR....We could meet at 8:30 when John leaves, and hang around for Illuminations. December Illuminations sometimes run at 9:30 instead of 9:00. Not sure if that's the case on the 7th or not, but that's easy to check.

Personally I'd rather have the later option Diane, just because I'll be attending the 6:30 Candlelight showing. I plan to head over to John's meet directly after CP ends. I've missed it 3x now, and don't want to miss it again - and meeting other DIS'ers would be the icing on the cake, so to speak.

Where: just to the right of the wine stand in France

Remember Illuminations doesn't start until 9:30 that night, so we'll have a good hour before to visit, and the view of Illuminations is very good from that spot!
