Thank you to those of you who braved the cold to meet, even for a few minutes! Great to see both old friends and a few new faces! Hopefully our next meet will have either better weather or be indoors!

Hmmm, I'm going to be around again the last week of January. Anyone up for meeting at Papa's Den for a change?

I posted back on page 5 in response to another post about a January meet. We will be there January 23-26. If that is any of time you are there, we would enjoy the chance to meet some of the folks that post all the helpful info and useful tips. The 24th or 25th work well in our schedule. Where is Papas Den?

Papa's Den is in the Hospitality House at OKW. The reference is to "Papa" John Hemmingway. It is a comfy area adjacent to the front desk area.

Okay, so since TWO people have now commented on that last week of January, I'd be willing to give this another try then! We are driving down with other couples and will be staying in a GV at OKW. I still like the idea of Papa's Den or maybe outside the Gurgling Suitcase if it isn't cold again. Maybe we could plan WHERE a bit closer to the dates. I'll start a new thread for January.

Were you at the wine kiosk right in front of Chefs de France? By a little before 8 there were already a number of DISers as well as those there for the OL meet. John (jdvm) from Owners Locker was there from 7:30 until about 8:45 and he has posted photos from the event on the OL facebook site.

We walked by there on our way to the area nearer the wine store but really didn't notice a group of people there. I was looking for anything with Owners Locker on it and didn't see anything, it was just a little after 8 pm.

Oh well. Next time I'm there on a Tuesday night we'll try again.

Diane, it was great meeting you in person, since I already felt like I knew you. I enjoyed putting faces to names like Daddio, Webmaster Doc and WilsonFlyer too. Thanks for planning it. Too bad it was sooo cold!

It figures. I must be blind as a bat.
We weren't going to be able to stay long anyway as my inlaws had already hiked to the car to wait for us there. We'll have to try again another time.

Sorry we missed it. We were at Epcot earlier in the day and my DS5 didn't want to go back out into the cold. It was freezing that night! Glad you all had a great time. We'll be back in mid-April at BCV so perhaps we'll catch a meet that week.
