DVC Labels in Posts?

We just passed ROFR on Monday and I was wondering, how do you get the hotel labels for your resort to show up on your posts. It looks like it is part of the signature, but I am not sure.

I am a new proud owner and I want to share that with others, but can't figure out how to do that.

If anyone can give me the instructions on how to do that, I would REALLY appreciate it.

Depending on your browser, you can click on the label you want and if you see copy the image, then click that. Then to to your User CP and Edit Signature and then paste the link into your signature window.

My browser for some reason will not let me just copy the label, I have to have the complete URL, so if it does not work someone can probably give you the link.

If you copy and paste the link, you are using bandwith of the person you copied from. Some people get a wee bit cranky about that.

But, I have my SSR label on Photobucket and only have a few pics on it, so you are welcome to copy mine if you are an SSR owner. Go ahead and use my bandwith!

I also just bought BWV points, so I will be adding that label too in the next day or so, and you are welcome to copy that also.

Thanks for sharing that, I don't do signatures, in fact I keep the option turned off, I can't read for all the things, kinda like being in Vegas with too many lights.

Where do people get the labels to begin with. Are they on the DVC site.

I tried to copy from one post and in my signature I could not get the past function, it was not available. I can copy, I can save the Picture, but the Past function does not work in the signature.

Is there some other way?

I save the pictures to photobucket.com first and then post to the sig line.

OK, I even tried to copy a link. Do you select ? I don't want someones link to show up in my message, I want the picture. I am afraid that if I copy the link, and try to post a message to see it, I might do it wrong and end up sharing with everyone the http...... details.

I must be missing something.....I work on a computer every day, but really just use office productivity tools, so other than hyperlinks in doc's, I don't know much about this stuff, I think??? It can't be that complicated, I must be missing something.

OK, I will re-read the posts and try again. If anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate the assistance.

The logos were created by vascubaguy, who is a frequent poster to these boards. All the images were designed to meet DISboard signature guidelines.

He has 21 of them on his site, and has given permission to DISboard DVC members to link to them directly from his site.

It is not necessary to copy the photos to photobucket or any other site. Here are the directions for those using a P.C. (Directions for a Mac are different)

Step 1: Go to his site with all the pictures....HERE.

Step 2: Select which of the 21 photos you want to use. Right Click the photo. Then Click on Properties from the popup menu.

Step 3. You will see the image's properties. Note one property is labeled Address URL. This is what you want.

Step 4. Click and drag the address. Make sure you get everything starting with http: and ending with .jpg

Step 5. Select copy from your toolbar if it's available. (or use the shortcut: CTRL-C). This copies the address to your computer's clipboard.

Step 6. Go to your signature in edit mode. (QuickLinks, Edit Signature). Click where in your signature you want the image to appear.

Step 7. Click the Insert Image icon. It's the one that is yellow and has a small mountain. In the popup box, paste the URL address you copied. (Shortcut is CTRL-V) NOTE: The popup will alredy have "http://". You need to highlight that before pasting the URL, otherwise you'll get "http://http://..... and your link won't work. When you have the code in your signature, it should look something like this:

Step 8. Click Preview Signature. If everything looks right, then Click Save your signature. You're done.

I have been trying to figure out how to do this also. I have looked over a couple of the forums looking and hadn't found it yet! I was going to start my own post and then found this one!! I am a happy camper right now!!

I have been trying for weeks to try and copy images of all three of my "homes" - AKV, BCV and SSR. Keeps telling me "invalid file" when I browse and try to attach a jpeg from My Pictures.
