For 5 days in a row I have been trying to modify a reservation at 8 am. I just keep getting a box that says I am outside my booking window. I have used the World Clock, the Atomic Clock and the clock on my Chromebook, all on different mornings and still get the (you are outside your booking window). So what the (HECK) Clock does DISNEY use. I like to try that one.

So, what are you doing right at 8? If you are doing the search (select modify and input the details and hit search), before 8AM and seeing availability and then right at 8AM selecting the new resort, then you may always get that. For new reservations (and I suspect modified ones too) for most users the search time is cached. You need to search after 8AM, not just select the accommodations you want after 8AM. - I could be wrong, but I dear that may be your issue.
 
I ran into an issue and called Member Services on Sunday. They said the website was having a lot of technical issues and they were trying to work through them all.

I suggest you call Member Services and explain the problem to them.

But if you are simply trying to modify a reservation at EXACTLY 8 am, then it depends on how you made your search. It used to be that you could start a search before 8 am and then select your room exactly at 8 am. More recently, it appears you have to wait till 8 am before starting your search.

Why are you trying to modify right at 8am? Are you walking a 7-month reservation? That would be the only scenario where modifying at 8am might be necessary.
 
Sorry, my mistake. I was trying to book a new reservation. I went brain dead after trying everything and the Darn site just doesn't work.
 
Are you trying to book an extremely popular hard to get room? If someone else books it first, and takes the last room out of inventory for your 11/7 month window, the dvc site displays the message that you are out of your booking window. I assume because the rest of the vacation you are trying to book is plus one days outside your window

Site is having issues as of about 15 minutes ago. Every room is showing as zero points.....
 
They're site engineers must have found this thread and thought, "If they think it's a junk site now, I'll show them!"
Maintenance was done last night, which always means a problem is going to pop up the next day. Surprised it took this long.

ETA: They are aware of the situation, I just did a chat w/them.

With international travel back up to speed, people being comfy going places, and the ability to use points properly again, it's been awful since July (just before my 7 month mark hit for Princess weekend).
 
UGH. CAn't modify. It turned my reservation into "cash reservation" and deleted everyone. I don't really want to call MS during a hurricane, and I wouldn't if they had a functional website. AAAAHHH
 
Now I'm showing hundreds of points until I go to book, 32 points and dwarves. FIX THE WEBSITE BILL

We had this exact problem and called MS to fix.
 
It has now been 12 days for me trying to book a reservation at 8 am on the dot or a few seconds later, and I still keep getting the ( you are outside your booking window, try another search).
Every room I am looking for was available before 8 am time but I just keep getting the (outside booking window) and then they are gone.
 
If you are hitting "Continue" right at 8 am, that is why you are getting that message. You must do the " Search" function right at 8 and then do "Continue". The system looks at the time of search not the time you hit continue.

Keep in mind, that there may only be one villa available. If others have a faster computer, you may still lose out.

I’m not sure what changed when they made the new site a while ago. It looks the same and still has tons of issues. Time for Disney to get real web sites. It’s not 1997 anymore.
 
Are others seeing the booking tool as Down for Maintenance now and same time yesterday? I don’t recall seeing notifications so I’m wondering if others are having the same issue with the website.
