DVC Insurance for points and cash stays

We have two upcoming trips. One on points later this year, the other a cash stay next summer reserved through DVC. The first stay is utilizing points from all three available use years so we would be covered through our 2020 use year. Am I right thinking the insurance would still be active for our cash trip next year? I realize I didn't use points so there would not be coverage for that, but I want it for the other items like baggage, medical, etc.

I don't think so. Did you book the cash stay through DVC?

I did. It shows up as a reservation on the DVC website and offers insurance when I clicked on it. Was wondering if it's the same thing as the insurance for points stays.
