DVC Insurance confusion…Cruise not covered?

I’m going around in circles trying to figure this out. We booked a cruise with points. I just talked to a cm at DVC, and they said cruises and ABD are not covered by DVC insurance, even if you book with points. I’ve read thru the policy, and I couldn’t find language saying that DVC travel insurance only covers actual DVC stays.

Anyone clear on this? They were going to transfer me to someone who knows, but it’s a 4 hour hold now.

I think it technically only covers DVC points bookings. Any cruise, Disney Collection or II/RCI booking is an excahnge, and once exchanged they are not considered DVC points. I realize this sounds like hair-splitting, but we are talking insurance T&C.

The insurance does not even cover the value of the resort stay. THey will only reimburse you the amount of the annual dues for the points.
