DVC Incentive to buy - Free stay or park passes or hopper add on?

Thanks for the clarification, why are new buyers given more than existing owners who add on?

:earsboy: Bill
I liken it to cable internet companies.... new customers always seem to get the better deals. They already have the current customers so they skimp on them. its sad, but it appears many companies do this. New people are treated "more valuable" than current customers

what am I missing?

That you got nothing different than expected.

that's all I was trying to say... we paid $166 a point for PVB direct and then got 2016 MFs waived.

As anyone would, purchasing while the last year UY is still "active".

I gotcha, i just read the first line of the tread and saw "incentive to buy" and those two things were enough incentive for us to buy. which is why i originally posted. For us, the 185 (maintenance free points) equates to a free stay, and as AP holders, tickets are useless to us.

To me it's not incentive. It is what it is. It might be incentive to buy a certain UY depending on when I'm buying, but it's not anything special or anything a guide is giving me. It's your right to have those points.

Question:

If I buy now and want Feb UY do I get 2016, 2017, obviously 2018 points as well, or just 2017, 2018, or just 2018 points?

Three options.

Thank you all for your help and input.

The current UY for February is 2017 so you would receive 2017 points and all going forward.
