DVC in Naperville

I finally found a reason to make a screen name....been lurking here for ages, soaking up all the DVC info I can get while we debate buying. Thanks for all the wonderful information posted, I have learned a lot.

Anyway, I just got a flyer in the mail inviting me to a 'special evening' with Disney Vacation Club at the Hollywood Palms theater in Naperville on December 8. It says we will learn about DVC and that there will be 'light refreshments', 'fun, supervised kids club' and an 'entertaining presentation'.
Sounds like it could be fun, and it's really hard to resist since it is only about 5 minutes from house. Maybe it's a sign it's finally time for us to buy.

Did anyone else get the invitation?

I say go for it. We bought SSR at Woodfield on the day we got our documents for our resale contract for HHI. Haven't regretted it for a second.

Welcome neighbor! I would love to attend but I will be in disneyworld and headed out on the Disney Wonder cruise so I will miss it! Please post how it went! Exciting to hear the Palms is hosting this event!

If you're available--go! There is very little pressure to buy. The show is pretty good (at least the cruise one in May was). After our presentation they had a DJ and the Fab Five came out and danced. It was great character time for kids and adults.

Have to say hi. I grew up in Naperville and my parents are still there. We're up in Wauconda now. The events are fun. We went to one at Woodfield after we bought a resale contract at SSR this spring. It was entertaining and they even had characters. Go and learn some more about the program.
