DVC Hawaii - Start Packing?

Like most of you I am just getting the new DVC publication, Disney Files Magazine.

Obviously, the most interesting articles are on the oceanfront property purchased on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii that will have a resort that will include DVC units, and the units planned for the Grand Californian at DL. These along with the new Animal Kingdom/DVC presence really has DVC being very aggressive in expanding its appeal to vacationers like me.

I know it will be a few years before Hawaii is completed, but I think my wife is already packing!

Should I start packing too????

The artist rendering of the Hawaiian property looks wonderful. I won't buy points there but will certainly go.

We won't buy, but we are already planning a trip for 2010. It really isn't that far off considering we are just about in 2008. Our kids will be older and really ready to appreciate a Hawaiian vacation.

Sorry 3DisneyKids, but the resort doesn't open unitl 2011!

We will definately go to DVC in Hawaii, but won't buy in Hawaii. It is too far and expensive to go yearly or every other year. Now if a resort is built in the Carribean, we will probably add on at that location

Typo! Sorry. Yes, we are planning on going in 2011--assuming things are completed and ready (and we can get it without being owners).

When the kids graduate from High school, we take them on a graduation trip. The oldest went to Cancun five years ago, the middle will be going to St. John in 2009 (already have it arrange with a friend who owns there) and the youngest graduates in 2011. When he saw the magazine article last night, he made his decision for his trip. DVC in Hawaii is where is wants to go.
