DVC Hard Ticket Event Discount for DVC renter?

Hello,

I am renting DVC points, and am interested in buying a hard ticket event (Magic Kingdom After Hours). I noticed it says DVC members get a discount when purchasing the After Hours event. I am wondering is it possible for the DVC member I am renting points from to buy the hard ticket event for my wife and I so we can get the DVC discount?

Not trying to break any rules or circumvent anything - just honestly wondering if this is allowed. I know I have seen some discussions on this being "allowed" for other types of events.

If they will be with you at the special event, then they can purchase tickets for you.

You don't get any DVC perks. Period.
