DVC Groceries?

We just got back yesterday and had a great experience with Garden Grocer. We were very pleased with the prices, selection and quality. The only trouble was waiting for the VWL staff to deliver. We waited around for over an hour to have the food delivered. They were busy and I totally understand the wait and fortunately, on this trip, it did not create a problem with our schedule. But on our next trip we will be short on time that first day.

I thought I read somewhere that you can order groceries directly through DVC and have them in our room when you arrive. Is this true? If so, what are the prices and selection like?

To each his or her own. We found the prices to be very fair and the slection great!

With that said, you could have always gone down and picked up your food. We had to do this with our luggage because it was going to take them a long time to deliver. Also, GG will deliver to your room. They even helped me put the food in the fridge!

Thanks for the info. I finally found the list on the DVC website. The prices seemed a bit high, but not outrageous. They don't have what we are looking for so I think it will be GardenGrocer.com again. They were wonderful. The fresh fruit was wonderful. They called my cell to deliver it, but our room was not ready (VWL was packed and didn't have the room ready until 5pm) so they left it with the valet/bell service.

I don't know why I didn't think of that. Good suggestion. Next time, if the valet/bell service is busy, we will just pick it up ourselves. =)

As far as the DVC groceries...I thought their prices were hiked quite high.

Thanks Gabby for the GREAT site!!! I find there prices very reasonable. I pretty excited about this site acutally, I can get alot of thinks that we need and don't have to bother finding them. Thanks again.

What is the link on the DVC site that lists the groceries and costs you can order in advance? I've seen the Garden Grocer list, but wanted to see the on-site grocer order also?

Log in on the DVC site....go to the points calculator...its in the left hand column...hope this helps

Yeah. I just found the DVC list/menu and they don’t have the variety we need, mixed/cut fresh fruit, Capri-Sun, etc so I think we will stick with GG.
