When DVC resorts like BLT Becomes open to the public, is it possible to get three suites, one of them being a two bedroom? We have a large family with special needs, looking for lots of space. When would a good time to book ? Thank you in advance.

If you want maximum space, OKW 2BR Villa is huge, and each building usually has 2 studios... so that might work out for a big group. There is also a 3 BR Grand Villa. As for when that depends on what dates you have in mind and what offer your looking/waiting for? Generally sooner the better, at least 6 months in advance.

We are going feb. 17. Disney said we can't book DVC villas til June. Thanks for the info.. I'll look into OKW. we want one two bedroom suite with a full kitchen. The other two can be general suites or rooms. Just all separate spaces.

Yes, they generally will have all the options available to book for cash. Your other option would be to rent the reservations from an owner.

The renting process I have read in depth and the risk scares me. With special needs we want the flexibility in the dates. Let's say he gets I'll and we have to change dates, we are flexible to when the villa would be available. When it says no cancelations, does that mean we can't change dates? I was so interested in daves disney but it says no cancelations.

Yes. No changing dates or cancel. The booking is final.

If you are able to book via Disney, you can change, but you are depending on what inventory is released to cash reservation. You may be best off looking at off-site rentals.

If flexibility is needed then renting likely won't work. Brokers have a no cancellation - they've promised the owner payments. And an owner is committing points that if you cancelled they might very well lose. But thru Disney you will get the flexibility. Book as far out as you can because BLT is small so there will be a limited number of villas available for cash. But if it happens you can't get BLT there are other great resorts with the large villas.

When the cash reservations are available what are my chances of getting a discount using disney visa? Or a discount pin code?

They're okay, but you'd need to be very flexible as far as dates and resorts.

The number of villas available will be limited because most of the DVC resorts are sold out to members. That means about 95-97% occupancy at all times. So changing dates a few days forward or backward might not be possible. Especially with multiple villas.

You'll also want to be aware that OKW has very few elevators and you'll be taking the stairs at most of the buildings. Some have two floors, others have three. The Grand Villas usually start on the second floor with a third floor (second floor of the GV) where two bedrooms are located. If you have little ones or guests who cannot take the stairs, you'll need to request first floor villas.
