So sorry if this is a repeat question. I am sure it is ;) But this new search has me frustrated (not easy to do :rotfl: ).

We are going to WDW in January. We are spending 5 days at the Poly. NO meal plan. We are then transferring to the BCV, using points we are renting from a private party.

Can we get the meal plan for just our last half? The DVC portion? Or will our staying at the Poly prior put an end to that plan?

How do I go about buying it? Must the person I rented from arrange it?

Thank you so much-

Yes you can add the dining plan to your DVC stay. The person you are renting from needs to call Member Services to add the plan, but you pay for it upon arrival.

Have a great vacation!

We are doing this very thing for our trip in Oct. The first three nights we are on Disney property staying, but not at a DVC, so we are doing the DDP the last few days. Looking forward to it. I'm going to juggle some of our meals around now, to get the best use of those days on the DDP. ;)

Thank you everyone!

So, I have the person that we are renting from call and add the meal plan for us, right?

Then will we get a bill? Or, no, we pay at check in? Confused.

Also, if we get our tix at the Disney Store, will they load the Dining Credits onto them when we check in to the Beach Club Villas?

Oooh! Let me know how it works out! PM me if you remember. Thanks disneyfreek :thumbsup2

We are checking in on a Sunday and checking out on a Friday. I imagine we have to get it for all six days :confused3

me too,
keep us up to date how this works out for you.
If i understand you, you are 2nd party renting a disney vacation club
and getting them to order the Dining plan for you.
thats just what i am thinking of doing in January.
kind of leary though

You pay for the dining plan at check in when going through DVC, but the member you are renting from needs to reserve it in advance.

Your meal credits will be on your room key. If you purchased your tickets seperately they will not be able to put those on your room key (we have AP's and always have to carry those and our room key cards...and ID).

Have fun!

Back to the packing....

The DVC member has to call to add the dining plan to the reservation. Member Services will send a booking confirmation to the member, who may or may not forward it to you. There's no bill in advance for the dining plan. In fact, you can't pay for it in advance. It will be due in full when you check in.

If you have paper pack tickets, you can ask at check-in to have them transfered onto your room keys.
