DVC folks that drive and dine some offsite?? What are your faves?

If you like ribs, try Tony Roma's (8560 International Drive). I usually try to avoid I-Drive. We've been eating there since '99. Not sure about allergy issues. You can check their menu online.

We love Flippers also!
!

add us to the list - we love flippers:lovestruc

food is really delicious (and we are very picky about italian food), service is excellent, and prices are very reasonable.

golden corral has a great b'fast buffet, btw

Thanks....we got ordered pizza last summer from Flippers. Maybe we will try going there to eat this time. :thumbsup2

Thanks......haven't eaten at one in MANY years.

Another vote for Sweet Tomatoes!! Way good. Lots of variety, really nice folk, all good. Someone on these boards mentioned it once and we tried it two trips ago and now it's a favorite. some of these others sound good also.

There sure are a lot of people that like this place. I guess we better check it out too. :goodvibes

We like Logan's Roadhouse- they had a deal in June where you got a meal for 2 for $20 and it included aan app to share, 2 entrees, and dessert. I believe it weas on 192.

Another vote for Logan's, although Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn's are about the same price, taste, and selection.

Whatever you do, stay away, far away from the Bennigan's located a few feet down 192 from Logan's. The service and food were terrible, a far cry from what Bennigan's once was. We should have taken a clue that there was only ONE other family eating in the whole restaurant. We'll never be back.

You may know this already, but if you pick up the many guide magazines and pamphlets that are outside most restaurants and stores, a lot of the off site places have discount coupons in them.

There are a LOT of great choices in Celebration, which is only about a 10 minute drive, but a world apart from WDW.

The Old Town Tavern, mentioned above, is a great choice. Crowded and noisy, but hey -- it's a tavern. Excellent food, reasonable prices.

Our personal favorite is still Columbia - an authentic Spanish (not Cuban) restaurant from Tampa's historic Ybor City area. We eat there every trip and have never been disappointed. Try the legendary 1905 Salad. Nice ambiance, great service, wonderful food -- not as pricey as you'd think, probably comparable to Outback, but much better food.

There is also an Irish restaurant (Shannons?) and an Italian place (Giardinos?) that are highly recommended. We have not eaten at either, but they get high marks from people who have.

And last, but CERTAINLY not least -- Kilwins! Kilwins is a chocolatier with ice cream to die for. THE place for dessert. Right in the heart of Celebration Town Center.
