DVC folks that drive and dine some offsite?? What are your faves?

I am trying to have a few IDEAS for offsite dining for our trip in 9 days. We are driving for the first time in many years. We are staying at SSR so we expect to dine a few times off site for a lunch/dinner. Not every day probably but it would be nice to hear of places you enjoy. The players are me, dh, dd 19, ds 16 and ds 11. Thanks

Our favorites offsite are Bahama Breeze right off 535 on Vineland and Smokey Bones on 192. We also like Margaritaville at Universal but I'm assuming you're looking for something closer to WDW.

We like Giordano's. From SSR, there is one on Apopka-Vineland. And AKV, one off Irlo Bronson (the one we've been to).

That's about the extent of our off-site adventures. We usually stick to on-property restaurants, for better or worse.

I second the Bahama Breeze. Unfortunately, Bubba Gump and Margaritaville are at CityWalk and (unless you dine later in the evening) you have to pay to park which use to be about $11. I believe if you get there after 6 the parking is free but it may have changed since then. Both restaurants can get very busy at night with long waits so lunch is best (but then, of course, you have the parking fee.)

Another good restaurant is Cafe TuTuTango on I-Drive. It has a menu of tapas-like items with a lot of variety.

We like Logan's Roadhouse- they had a deal in June where you got a meal for 2 for $20 and it included aan app to share, 2 entrees, and dessert. I believe it weas on 192.

This place looks YUMMY however the buckets of in the shell peanuts will do my three kiddos in. All three are severely allergic to peanuts.

I think it's like $3 after 6 now... maybe $4. I know we usually aim to get there right after 6 when we go

We love Longhorns Steakhouse on the 192, Manny's on the 27 (well worth the 30 min drive) and Fudrukkers at Crossroads.

We like these two..but we have them here in MD. We want to try some places new to us. Thanks again though. Just ate at Longhorn on Father's Day. My hubby loves that place.

Celebration Town Tavern is by far my favorite offsite restaurant, also like BJ's micro brewery on Oscelo Pkwk albeit a little farther maybe a 20-25 min drive. I have had good meals at Carrabas on Vineland, Outback Steakhouse is always reliable.
Shula's at the Dolphin and Charlies Steakhouse on I Drive are Great but $$$$
I have heard that Manny's is good but usually a long wait to get in, have to try it 1 trip.

Apopka-Vineland Road just outside of DD has a full range of the national chain mid-scale restaurants. There is also Bahama Breeze on the south side of I-4 off of Apopka-Vineland. This is a really nice restaurant and not many around the country.

Seasons 52 and TooJays are different, unique and definitely worth putting on your list. They are near Dr. Phillips.

Bahama Breeze, Giordano's, Romano's Macaroni Grill, and Chili's are TS nearby we like.
Qdoba and Panera Bread are good CS places nearby.
If you are willing to drive a bit further, Margaritaville, Hard Rock Cafe, Tchoup Tchop at Universal are excellent. BJ's Brewhouse is near Mall at Millenia, which is worth the trip itself.

If you make a left out the Downtown Disney exit onto Apopka-Vineland there is a Black Angus which is wonderful. Beats Le Cellier on both quality and price. Also Fuddruckers at the crossroads is great and cheap.

Has anyone eaten at Chevy's? Is it good? What kind of food is it? Mexican?

Love, love, love Sweet Tomatoes at the Crossroads. It's an all you can eat HEALTHY buffet. HUGE salad bar plus soups, chili, pasta, mac and cheese, ciabbatta bread, veggies, desserts. Yummy strawberry lemonade. I can't wait to head to Disney at the end of the month to go to Sweet Tomatoes.
