I got an email today saying DVC members can book on the Fantasy in June for 7 days cruises for $1099 pp for a balcony. I am new to DVC, is this something that they do every so often, or is this unheard of? It's a great rate and I wish I could take them up on it, but we're cruising to Alaska on the Wonder in 13 days. I'd love to do it sometime in the future, though.

I was wondering the same thing, it looks like this rate is over 1/2 off the regular rate, unfortunately June is a bad month for us, what do you think the odds are this may run in July or Oct?

Most likely very little chance for it to run in July and August. They do this because they need to fill cabins on those cruises, and for no other reason. I agree, it would be a great deal if we could swing it but we can't so oh well..

It won't work for us either, but I was curious about the price, so I checked costco's website. It is cheaper, but right now the balcony rooms are cheaper than the inside and oceanview rooms - they must be having a hard time filling those. The Costco prices were about $450 higher, but there was also a costco cash card(don't know the exact amount - but ours for a November 3 day cruise was $120 for an inside state room). Also, I'm curious if you get a discount on a third and fourth person when booking with DVC like you do regularly.

Is there a code for this offer? I did not get the email. I would like to know more!

Discount for the kids is 1049 vs the 1099 for Adults.

Great Deal this is almost $2k less from the prices I got when I booked the June 30 Fantasy back in October 2010! that price was 6500.00 for a Cat 4! Was Costco pricing for a VGT discounted room or was that their standard Verandah pricing? Right now DCL has a lot of discounted, no change, no refund rooms for the verandahs on a the June trips on the Fantasy. I was just curious if Costco offered them. How do you find this on Costco's website. I always thought I had to call an agent.

If you are a DVC member you should have gotten the email. It was for all members I believe. Make sure you check your spam or any email you think DVC has on file for you. My sister had to go look for it because it was going to her old email address.

Anyways it should work for any member I believe. The code is DVC CASH. But just call DCL and tell them you are a member and interested in the discount for DVC members that came out yesterday. If you want to look at what the email says just go over to the DCL board. One of the posts has it posted. Wait here it is! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=44834550#post44834550

As a member you can book a new reservation for up to 3 cabins for a Verandah category for 1099 per person for a 7 day Caribbean trip on the Fantasy. For a family of four I paid 4600.00.

If you already have a reservation for one of these sailings you can apply the discount and save and possibly upgrade if you didn't book a verandah originally. Good luck!

Has anyone called about this offer yet? I am curious which dates are the "selected" dates in June for which this is available. I tried using the code online but it didn't work.

Thanks!

We didn't get the email either - we normally have been getting all (or so I thought) of DVC emails.

We are booked for a Fantasy cruise in August. Not sure why we didn't get the email either?

At any rate, they are also talking about this on the Cruise forum, and some have already booked it, so might get more info over there in regards to pricing, changing a current booking, etc.

Great rate for those who can take advantage of it, which does not include us teachers! LOL!

Tiger :)

It's a great last minute rate imo:thumbsup2 probably comparable to the best rate that they offer FLA residents/military? would be nice if they continued to offer in the future for other slow booking periods (i.e. October and early November & Dec:wizard:).

jhmo June is prime time, sounds as though they're having issues filling the ship.

The email says you have to call, the code apparently doesn't work online.

It's good for all 7-night Fantasy sailings in June :)

Thanks! E-mail says select cruises in June so wasn't sure all were included.

A popular Disney info site just posted details including the code on its FB page. Thought that was a no-no?

No problem...actually, I haven't even gotten the darn email yet, but on the cruise board and on other DVC thread, it sounds like people are booking different cruises in June and are having no issues!

We can't go in June, but I want my email!!:badpc:

I'm trying to figure out how we could go in June after going to WDW this month. ;)

Once you're on the Costco site just click on travel and then cruises. You can book online, but I called because we needed connecting staterooms. We booked a RC cruise with them and got a nice onboard credit. They have competitive rates and seem to usually offer Costco cash cards or inboard credits.

Awesome! Thank you!

The email says you have to send a copy of your DVC Member card to get the discount, so posting the code should not be a problem.

wow this got a lot of responses quickly! thanks for all the info, I'm just gonna have to watch my email and hope they do this again. hopefully for the mediteranean next year :hyper: i'm hoping to celebrate my college graduation with a euro cruise. it'd be nice to go on disney instead of carnival like we are currently planned

Not to mention, they can post what they want (within reason) on their own FB page.
