DVC discounts

Since our trip home is so close, I've been checking out the Member Perks and have been so surprised with the number of available discounts. Is there a catch? Do you have to show your member card before dinner for the participating restaurants?

I hadn't planned on doing Disney Quest, but with a member discount I'm definitely going to take ds on our off day.

And I'm so excited that we are members and I don't feel the necessity to cram everything in on this trip. Loving the magic!

I don't know if you HAVE to, but we do show our DVC card when we are ordering. Also, it's good that you're planning to use it...keep it in mind. We didn't use it at the Rainforest Cafe for lunch in December, shucks.

Yes -- but most restaurants will expect both meals to be on the same check and that the member will pay. Some require both the member ID card and a current resort ID with Member on it before they grant the discount.

We've found that most only want to see the blue Member ID.

The discount is for selected meals/restaurants and varies between 10% and 20%.

The member dining discounts are available to all members - they have nothing to do with the type of ticket used. Members receive a list of the current discounts at check in and a list can also be found on the Members' webiste.

We ask everywhere we go, shopping or dining, if they take AP, DVC or the DDE for any applicable discounts. The cast members will let you know right away if they can apply any discounts for cards you may have.

ENJOY DisneyQuest! It's outstanding and there's cheesecake and dining on the top 2 floors so at least save room for the cheesecake before you go!
AND,... I do bellieve there is a DVC discount for that as well!
(unless that has changed recently)
