My parents want to celebrate their 50th anniversery on the Disney Cruise in 2008. Obviously, I want/will go along with my siblings.

Are there any DVC discounts for the Disney cruise like how the Florida rates and DVC rates are almost the same for AP tickets?

I'm the only DVC member. Is there a way I can purchase for the rest of my family to get the discount for them?

I tried doing the search mode but it is always not available.

Thanks,

MMCD

There are no DVC cash discounts for the cruise. You can use points.

You can only get discounted AP's for family members who live at your address (ID required).

No but there are early booking discounts. Sometimes there are other specials that are state or system specific like AAA, Sam's Club, Costco, etc. I've seen some aimed at GA & TN I believe as well. I don't think they're booking quite that far out but Summer 2008 should be bookable sometime late winter or early spring though it could be anytime. You should go over to the DCL DIS website and start to gather information. Decide what price range you want, cabin type, week (if possible), etc. Since the Magic is in Europe summer 2007, make a back up plan if you're looking at summer for a 7 night cruise. Then once all the info is available, I'd get it booked. If your' family is like most, some may drag their fee. So I'd recommend you simply book it all yourself, pay the deposits and let everyone know what's going on. That way you can be sure it's done and the cabins are what you want and near each other. They can transfer over the costs to their CC when the time comes.
