I emailed DVC member service but I know that I will get a faster answer from my Dis. buddies. So here are my questions:

1. We are doing a split stay with 2 days at Pop before we check into AK-KV. It is my understanding that under the new system I can link the two reservations and add the dining plan to cover both. Is this correct?

2. The DVC member service website lists the basic dining plan as $45.99 per night per person.
a) Does this include tax?
b) If not what is the tax rate on the dining plan?

3. The Disney World website lists two price levels $45.99 for non-peak and $47.99 for peak. The DVC member service website only lists $45.99. Is this a DVC benefit and it is only $45.99 for members all year long?

I know a lot of people have differing opinions of the dining plan. I really am not asking if people think it is a pro or con, because we have found it works really well for our family. I was just hoping for some facts because we have not done a split stay during peak time before. I also understand that the new system has made things possible that were not possible before.

Thanks for any help you can give.

No you are not correct.

You cannot connect a Disney CRO reservation at Pop with a DVC reservation. All the info about segmenting the dining plans is about multiple parts of one DVC reservation.

With Pop and a DVC resort, you have two totally separate reservations that cannot be linked in any way.

$45.99 includes tax, and DVC members do not currently pay the peak pricing during those times, only the standard price.

And, to get the DDP with your POP reservation, you will have to add a ticket to that package.

You will not have to do that for the DVC reservation.

Thank you both so much for clearing this up.

I knew my Dis buddies would get back to me MUCH quicker than DVC. :flower3:
