DVC deed search problems

I have a DVC TS and am trying to do a rental. The person was doing a deed search and says they cannot find me.

I Googled Orange County Deed search and mistakenly came to the Orange County in NC.

Then tried Florida and I can't find an official site for some reason. I keep getting all the official 'looking' sites that are just ads that then find your person and then required $15 etc to purchase records.

Is there an official site where I can search public records to find proof of my DVC?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I can't find it via Tax Deed search but can find it under the Record Search option!

Thanks to both of you!

The problem with searching deeds to see if someone is "legitimate" is, for example, that I would not show up as an owner either. My deeds are filed under my previous name when I was married to my late husband. Although I have changed my name with DVC, I have not gone through the process to change my deeds. So I would appear to not be listed either. Good thing I don't rent! LOL!

Also Vero and HHI contracts are recorded in their respective counties.

Doing a deed search is pretty useless for a renter. If someone really wants to commit fraud, all they need to do is look up the name of a DVC owner and then pose as that individual. :confused3

I am a DVC owner, both me and my husband DON'T show up on that search. What does that mean?

When did you buy? I bought in Feb but didn't show up until April, over 2 months after I closed. Do you have a copy of yoru deed? If so, I wouldn't worry too much or just call the Orange County Comptroller and tell them you can't find yourself.
