I'm doing a split stay between BCV and BWV on rented points in May. When I made my ADRs, I told them I wasn't on the DDP, because at that point I hadn't decided whether to try it or not. I now have the DDP lined up, and I'm wondering if I need to call Disney Dining back to let them know. :confused3

No need to call Disney Dining. Just let your servers know.

Unless you have a pre-paid venue, like Hoop-de-Doo, then you'll need to call and rebook with DDP credits instead of CC payment.

Thanks :goodvibes

another question on DDp...website says info about Magic your Way stay, etc......if we are staying on site using DVC points...can we just add on DDP and pay cash? (no points)

If you are staying on points onsite, then call member services to add the DDP to your reservation...you will pay for the DDP with cash when you check-in. Points can not be used to pay for the DDP.

Thanks for the info.....we are going with 12 people this time in a grand villa:thumbsup2 and was wondering if EVERY person on the resv needs to do DDP? we will have a few 3-4 yr olds and their mom/dad who may not want to participate because they think their TS time may be very limited

I don't think there's any need to call to change even with prepaid reservations. Whether using DDP credits or paying OOP, you must pay by cc when you make the reservation.

As a previous poster said, it is everyone in the room, for the entire length of the reservation. And the total needs to be paid ayt check-in, so if some members of your party are arriving early in yhe day, they will need to pay the DDP for everyone, unless you all wait and check-in together.

I thought the CC was used as a deposit if you were using the DDP, but the full amount was charged out at time of reservation if you were not on the DDP?

Do they charge the full amount and then do a refund if you are on DDP? For international visitors, that would cost $$. (Double Int'l processing fee, once for charge, once for refund) And in fact for everyone that would cost $$, as you'd need to pay the CC or pay interest until the refund is done.

I'm not so sure now, Chuck. I thought that we had paid in the past and then been reimbursed but maybe I have it mixed up with the old days when everyone just made a deposit.

I tried a search on the DDP forum and found mixed info as well although more posts that agreed with you.
