DVC, DDP, and Rewards Oh My

We have a DVC studio rented from a member and may purchase the Dining Plan. How can I use the reward dollars that I have accumulated with the Disney Chase Visa. My reservation is not until December but if I add the DDP they want a credit card number now.

I don't think you can use your reward dollars for this because you pay the DVC owner and they purchase the plan.

If you convert your rewards into Disney gift cards (is that possible?) you should be able to pay the DVC owner (partially at least) with gift cards.
