DVC christmas parade tickets

for the DVC'ers that got tickets for the Christmas parade taping on DEC 2-3.
What was the schedule like to particapate.?
What did you do, where did you stand, what was the
best time to get there to see the stars?

we have never been there for this and would like to know if it's worth it.

IMHO, the title (It Wasn't Worth the Hassle) says it all. FWIW, I didn't sign up to be part of the filming, even though we were there for that time. I didn't want to spend a half day (or more) of my vacation sitting around waiting, but then I'm not one to get excited about seeing someone famous in person, LOL.

I was there for both the DVC taping on friday 12-1 and AP taping on 12-2. The DVC day was much more organized and alot more fun to do. Would we get up early and do it again, not so sure about that. it WAS alot of fun, we got to see the Idols and michael bolton and i got to be seen on TV TWICE during the broadcast which was a real hoot but it was alot of waiting around on a very warm and early day. It was cool to be in the MK VERY early while the sun was coming up and main street was coming to life but unless you are lucky like we were and get in the first group of people and are right up front, you will be sorely disappointed. I'd say it'd be fun to do this ONE time and then thats it.

If you DO decide to do this, get at the MK at 6:45 at the latest so you have a better chance of being the first groups to get in. That way, if they're doing the castle shows taping, you'll have a good chance of being right up in the front row. If you end up in the back, it's not worth staying for.
