Fun promotion for a SNA flight. Even cooler if one of the skinned Disney planes pulls up to C10 this morning.Saw this in PDX today…. View attachment 1073132
Yep. No amount of Disney math makes it work. And I can usually justify anything with Disney math.Have you seen the 1500 pointer out there for sale?? California Dreaming here.......
Yeah…. this is why I never support the “well if a direct buyer bought it then it must have made sense for their situation” argument.Yep. No amount of Disney math makes it work. And I can usually justify anything with Disney math.
It mostly wont matter in the end, and your kids wont be in school forever.People who had or now have young school age children - what use year do you feel would be best and why? I’m thinking August as it will allow one summer month, the holidays, and early spring. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Almost as effective at initiating divorce proceedings as having an affair, and the expiration date on an affair is much sooner.1500 resale restricted points in a studio-heavy resort. If you crudely say 150 points for a week in a studio, that would be 10 weeks. And annual dues of 15k, and TOT of another 4.5k. I'm not that baller yet, and even if I were able to afford it, DW would divorce me. She already thinks that I overdo WDW/DLR trips.
I suspect the original buyer was eyeballing those grand villas with that many points.
I agree, I wouldn't choose UY based on school-aged kidsIt mostly wont matter in the end, and your kids wont be in school forever.
Ive not kept up, but wasnt only like 1 GV declared so far and there are only 2 total?1500 resale restricted points in a studio-heavy resort. August will be blazingly hot in WDW; I'm assuming you're looking at WDW area. August UY has a March 31 banking deadline. If you also consider canceling 31+ days in advance to avoid points going into holding, that somewhat extends trips into April. I think that it seems like Aug could be a good choice if you generally avoid May-July trips.People who had or now have young school age children - what use year do you feel would be best and why? Excuse my ignorance, but please explain the holding part. I never really understood and really just wanted to avoid it.August will be blazingly hot in WDW; I'm assuming you're looking at WDW area. I think you're correct. 1 is used for tours and is not declared into inventory, and the other 1 is declared into inventory and it is an accessible room, if I remember right. Kinda stinks if more than 1 owner wants to book it over popular holidays, but I guess that's what fixed week contracts are for. Well, I take that back. If there are only 2 grand villas, then 1 of them is 50%, and that's higher than their percentage of maximum allowed FW contracts for a room/villa type for a week. (30% or 35%; I forget exact number.)Ive not kept up, but wasnt only like 1 GV declared so far and there are only 2 total?

If you cancel a reservation 30 days or less before check-in, the points for that reservation go into "holding". Those points can only be used to book something up to 60 days in advance. As you can imagine, availability will be fairly limited that soon to check-in. I don't think that holding points can be banked (can somebody please confirm?).Excuse my ignorance, but please explain the holding part. I never really understood and really just wanted to avoid it.
We traveled as a family during Jan (end of winter break + skip 2 days of school), March spring break, and June. Our school district starts in Aug and ends late May or early June if we have snow make up days.People who had or now have young school age children - what use year do you feel would be best and why?
