Yeeees!! They are points I should be able treat them how I want.Full point fluidity between 2 adjacent use years. DVC, make it happen.

Totally different texture than what you get in the parks. The pineapple one is a repeat buy. I only ever get pineapple in the parks, so don't have a good frame of reference for the mango. I love mango, and will generally pick that over many other flavors... but I'd pick the pineapple Dole Whip from the store. How is it??
We used to live in Urbana-- wish we'd made it to Olney for this! There is also a pancake race that originated in Olney which is a little town near me! That involves running with a frying an while flipping the (crepe style) pancake and trying not to drop it!
Oh geez-- forgot you are in the UK. Wrong Olney! We used to live in Urbana-- wish we'd made it to Olney for this!
What is banking? Is that what people who don’t borrow do?Need to book for next year but to do that I need to bank my points forward. Ughh why is it so hard for me to do. I don’t need them, but what if I do …
Anyone else paranoid to bank?
Yes. Disney Dream departing FLL. It will be a 4 Day cruise, which corresponds to the time we’ll have then.Disney? If so which ship?
We had originally booked over school Easter holiday next year (which I think is Spring Break period?) but I thought flights would be very high if booking right now (it's usually better to book on release dates for flights around school hols) plus I'd have to take my son out of school and pay the fine. We're now sailing in August 2027 (Destiny then Treasure) and it worked out cheaper even though we upgraded one to a veranda!
There is the hassle (I agree, not worth it) but also, I do think Disney will eventually take a closer look at renting, so I want to avoid renting unless I truly need to these days (which is basically an emergency within 30 days or late in UY that can’t be banked)…starting out by renting a whole UY of points feels more risky than it’s worth (but I also do not think doing it once with points that will expire before you can use them makes it commercial!).Don’t want the hassle.
Me me me! I actually have days to my Oct UY deadline and I don’t even like to use points late in the year but now I’m like…what if I need them for DVC slots this summer…Need to book for next year but to do that I need to bank my points forward. Ughh why is it so hard for me to do. I don’t need them, but what if I do …

I love this in spirit but understand in practice they need to try to avoid too much crowding of points in any one year… you could imagine everyone in California hoping to book as much as possible right around the Olympics and then switching back points if they failed to rent, etc.Yeeees!! They are points I should be able treat them how I want.

I sometimes serve as a technical expert. I remember asking one of the partners how they can possibly plan vacations becaue the schedule is always changing. "Oh, that's easy. I plan them for the original trial dates, because that's pretty much the one time I know the trial won't be."or a trial gets scheduled (2 lawyer family), etc.
I almost didn’t book a cruise on the itinerary I like best next summer because we have a trial scheduled then… but then I thought, “we have until next spring to cancel, and the trial could easily move.”I sometimes serve as a technical expert. That's how I typically book too. I've never once borrowed a point and I always end up banking something. I just cancel and push to the next reservation I have under the same resort and UY.Borrowing is for people with way more control over their lives than I have. I have found I’m pretty comfortable in perpetual banking mode… I make almost twice as many reservations as I can actually take each year for 2 of my resorts, and then I canceled the ones where my kids have something come up or a trial gets scheduled (2 lawyer family), etc.
Could be a nice benefit for MMBFull point fluidity between 2 adjacent use years. DVC, make it happen.
I always stand as far from the doors as possible. I want to be last to get through them.Did Cosmic Rewind several times over our trip last week and they were definitely alternating door 1 and 3 opening first. The middle door always stayed closed and roped off. It was a gamble on which door you would stand in front of.

Ideally, banked 2025 pts into 2026, Is loaded. It's def not loaded.
If you're not in a hurry, I would want all 2025 points and ideally some or all 2024 points banked into 2025.
Always, that’s why I just use them. lolNeed to book for next year but to do that I need to bank my points forward. Ughh why is it so hard for me to do. I don’t need them, but what if I do …

Would that be a dream, not needed to bank or borrow them multiple years, but just back and forth would be so helpful, I’d definitely rent them out less!!We should be able to borrow banked points![]()
On my most recent trip which ended the day before yesterday, I had an odd experience, also involving activating my pass.Activated our Sorcerer Passes about 10 days ago. We went directly to Guest Relations at MK and it took them about 5 minutes to activate our two passes. I didn't even try to go directly to the gate, but given that it took him a few minutes, I imagine it was necessary to go to GR. We did have to show ID and my Apple Wallet.
Assuming you dont have another reservation you could reallocate the points to in the case she needs to cancel, instead you can try to rent the reservation or ask for a one time exception.Speaking of banking - In a moment of weakness I said yes to my daughter who asked if I had any extra points this year. Who ever has extra points? Lol. Anyways I booked OKW for her 60 points in August and now I am super paranoid if they have to cancel last minute because my banking window is end of this month. I have never travelled that late in my UY to have that concern before. I don’t mind being able to give her the use of the points for a trip even though I would have used them. I just hope nothing happens last minute for them to need to change it.
Just have your own Go Bag pre packed. No worries.Speaking of banking - In a moment of weakness I said yes to my daughter who asked if I had any extra points this year. Who ever has extra points? Lol. have a great time!! we were at WDW over Memorial Day 2 years ago, and crowds were light and weather was great. wishing the same for you!First time at Old Key West, so should be a fun new experience.
I thought of that. I do have a trip booked for October but the points expire end of September if they aren’t banked. I could try the one time exception. Hopefully they will go as planned and enjoy it.Assuming you dont have another reservation you could reallocate the points to in the case she needs to cancel, instead you can try to rent the reservation or ask for a one time exception.
Haha! I thought of that too- maybe I will make a flight reservation just in case……Just have your own Go Bag pre packed. No worries.
