DVC cash reservation discount

I just booked a one bedroom at Hilton Head though member services with the DVC member discount. The MS person mentioned 10% and I told her I thought it was 25% off the rack rate. She told me I was probbaly right. Well I checked the rate through CRO and the discount was only 8%. Has anyone seen a change in the DVC cash discount rate offered to members? Can Disney vary the discount by resort? Has anyone else booked a room with the DVC cash rate discount (either WDW or anywhere else)? What rate did you get? I hope that they did not change our benefits again.

News to me. I have in the past got the member cash discount at both OKW and VB, it's always been 25% off the posted rack rate.

They can do anything they want but I'm not aware of anything other than a 25% discount or nothing.

It's 25% off the rack rate though, so it depends on what you are comparing it to. Perhaps the resort has some other discounted price going on for that time.

For instance at Thanksgiving, the rates are significantly higher for the Tuesday through Friday that includes TG. I used to go and not even use points. Now - points are the better deal for these four nights - the rack rate is double what it used to be.

The Hilton Head Resort has gotten smarter about their seasonal room rates.

For instance at Thanksgiving, the rates are significantly higher for the Tuesday through Friday that includes TG. I used to go and not even use points. Now - points are the better deal for these four nights - the rack rate is double what it used to be.

We are going in June. I just compared the rate I got from MS with the discount with the booking rate available on Disney's central reservation system.
