Can DVC significantly change the dates of various seasons (like when Dream, Adventure, etc. are) or even add a new season? The reason I ask is that some regular Disney hotels just added a new "Pre-Holiday" season, so that early December is no longer considered Value season, it is now "Pre-Holiday" and although I haven't seen the rates, I'm sure they're much higher than value. Since December is traditionally a time of very high attendance of DVCers, could DVC increase the points by adding another season like this?

I'm not positive about whether they could change the seasons. If they did, things would still have to balance out. If they did something that raised the cost of a certain time of year, they'd have to reduce another time of year.

They can change the dates, number and types of seasons as much as they want as long as the total points to reserve a "unit" for a year are the same. Remember is unit in this sense is not the same as a room.

I think that is why the 2005 point schedule is not out.

I do love pre-Christmas season - everything is so beautiful - but if it is a whole lot more points (like Christmas) I don't know.

yea I can see a new season - probably including Thanksgiving?

Just remember - If they raise those days, they have to lower something else!
