DVC at Magic Kingdom Resorts?

There's always a chance, but it's not on the horizon right now.

It would be nice to have a DVC resort with monorail service, wouldn't it? :scratchin

I also thought as the Monorail leaves the Magic Kingdom and enters the Contemporary, there is ample room for add-ons. It would make a lot of sense for the monorail service and additional rooms for the Cont. Just dinner talk.

If it happens it will take a few years, until SSR is completely built out and sold.

I wish they would consider it. The property that comes to mind is at the Contemporary. Maybe they could give us some nice DVC water views. :wave2:

Disney wanted to build a resort between the Poly/GF/MK area but there was some problem with the water level in the ground and the land not being suitable for building. I do not know if this was a DVC resort they had in mind or not.

Yep, this is also within nice walking distance, a major advantage. Funny how when you look at an arial map how much additional room there is around the seven seas' lagoon (?) north of the contemoprary and east of the MK for additional resorts. There is tons of wooded land.

I don't know if Eagle Pines will ever come to fruition given SSR. I hope to see an entirely new transportation approach in WDW instead of busses in the future, which will change the location requirements for a new DVC resort. Light rail would be great as would extending the monorail. I still have trouble understanding why the monorail line is so expensive per mile. I think a DVC addition at the contemporary is a possiblity that I wouldn't discount. Perhaps it's another wing. Given how they fit in the BCV addition, there's plenty of room.

I think that would be an excellent thing to do with Eagle Pines. It isn't really that far off of the current Monorail track and would be an easier place to go with it than some of the other areas.
