DVC Association Meeting

Has anyone heard of the location and time of the member association meeting yet? It was posted for Dec. 9th details to follow.

Awwww man... I'll be leaving the day before. Oh well. Would love to hear the comments of those who will be able to attend!

I know the feeling. That happened to me last year, missed it by a day. I've been waiting for the winter Disney Files Magazine I thought it would be in there. It must be in the mail. With 22 days and a wake-up I'm getting exited.

I checked with Disney today and they told me that the location and time had not been determined yet. I accused them of not releasing the information because they don't want Members to attend. I stated that there were a lot of issues that need to be addressed. The rep answered, "like Valet Parking?"

Remember a couple years ago when folks complained about the information not being posted in time, and they promised to have it out a year ahead of the meeting? Well that only worked for one year. Looks like they don't want anyone there at all this time! We will be at WDW from the 8-15, and I plan to attend, but if it's the morning of the 9th, I have a Wildlife Discovery tour that morning....yep, bet that's when it will be too.! DARN!

I never thought of it that way but, you may be right. I believe that is why I missed it last year by a day because I didn't have the informaton before I made plans for my trip. This year the date was way ahead of time but here we sit waiting for the time and location with only a month away. I'm glad to here it will be announced on the Dis today. If it wasn't for the Dis we would miss a lot. Thats how I found out about and booked the Holiday-D-Lights tour. When I booked the CM asked were I heard about the tour. She didn't say but it sounded like it wasn't even announced yet. The Dis is were I get 98% of my info anyway.

Look at the date... December 10... Disney will tell us the date AFTER the meeting.

I think you misunderstood Deb's comment.... She said it would be on here DECEMBER 10...the day after the meeting.

The Board meeting at 1:00 is tightly scripted and will not take more than the allotted 30 minutes. The Member meeting is a little more ad-lib and will invite comments/questions from members in attendance - although no input regarding annual dues for 2010 will be accepted since that will be voted on at the Board meeting where only the board itself has any input. Resort managers will report on 2009 changes and planned projects for 2010. Jim Lewis will report on any enhancements for DVC members and any upcoming Disney corporate projects for public consumption will be presented - usually in video format. I expect we will see an update on the Ko Olina project and a brief overview of DVC projects in the works - like the status of online reservations.

I plan on attending (and have already registered online) and will post a report from the meeting on the 9th.

It will not compete with Welcome Home Wednesday since there is none on December 9.
