I want to try to use my GAD voucher toward purchase of a DVC discounted AP, but the only place I know of to purchase the DVC AP is online. Is there a way to buy the DVC AP at WDW? I usually buy it onlinel before we go, receive a voucher, then exchange it at Guest Services in DTD once I arrive.
Thanks for any help!

Just go to guest services like city hall in MK. Show them you DVC member card and driver's license and you're good to go!

I'd check the site above. There may be some information for you.

I know that you can go to Guest Services and purchase your AP there. Just be sure to have your ID and your DVC Blue Membership Card.

From what i've read, i believe you have to use the GAD ticket first, then go to guest services to upgrade to the AP at the reduced rate.

Hope this helps :thumbsup2

Just a side note, make sure your AP's are for 15 months instead of 12. When we purchased our AP's in December, they were able to give us our DVC discount plus the 15 month promotion. They had to call and talk to a supervisor but were able to honor the promotion.

I thought the 15 months was on renewals only..not new purchases?

I called Disney (a few times) for clarification on this prior to my trip and they informed me that it was on any AP purchases and that I would still be able to get my DVC discount along with this promotion. Not sure if they had to bend the rules when I actually went to customer service at MK to make my purchase but I made it very clear that we would not be purchasing AP's if they did not honor what several of their CM's had told me. We would not be able to get enough value out of the AP if it weren't for 15 months.

There were 2 different 15 month programs being offered. One was for FL residents that purchased a new annual pass by 12/31/2009. The other is for renewals which runs thru August 2010.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm curious whom exactly at Disney did you call to confirm they'd give you the 15 mos. on a new DVC AP? I plan on purchasing a new AP next month, but I was also under the impression that it was only for renewals. My pass expired in Jan. I would be so happy if I could get the 15 mos. instead of 12 because I also have a GAD ticket that I plan to apply towards the cost. Thanks for any input you can give me.

I just called the regular reservation line and pushed the option for tickets. It probably depends more on who you get when you actually purchase your tickets at the service desk. Sounds like I should not have received the deal!. Good luck...it never hurts to ask!
