Can I get the DVC discount on an AP if I wait to buy it when I get to WDW or must I call and purchase ahead of time? If I can buy it when I arrive, where would I go to get the AP (and the discount)? If I wait to purchase it on arrival, will I still be able to get the DDE card as well?

I ordered ME tckets for some friends who are coming down to stay with me. I will not be using ME. One group is arriving on a Wed. the others on Thurs. I received the tickets and was reading through the booklet. It says in there that the person should have the booklet with them. Is that really necessary? I only received one info booklet and I have two separate groups. I can photocopy it if necessary. I've never used ME, so I don't know the in's and out's of it too well.

Thanks!
Terri

I got an AP with the DVC discount at the IG entrance last week. And at Epcot Guest Relations, they confirmed for me that the new DDE policy is that you can buy the card upon arrival, it isn't necessary to call in advance. This was at Epcot's guest relations in FW-hopefully, you can buy the DDE card at any guest relations.

Thanks for the replies. Do you know if I can get them at DtD? I'm staying at SSR, so that would be close.

About the DME questions - yes, it's awkward the way they give you one book for everyone. But no, in my experience, it is possible to check in without it - I booked DME too late for them to send a booklet one time and they still took me. Another time, I had one book and two parties - I tore out the vouchers for my group and gave the booklet to my friends since I knew where the DME counter was located. The DME people questioned it but when I said we were traveling separately and my friends had the booklet, they just went ahead and processed me through. That was just my experience, of course.
