DVC-AP=First time

Hello,

We are new to DVC and need to get AP's we will be there in two weeks from today and wanted to know where we get our AP's at. I dont want to waste anytime getting to the parks.

TIA for any info you can give me.

Congratulations! We always get our APs at Guest Relations at DTD. Remember to have your blue DVC card, and anyone 18 or over needs to show their drivers license. Have fun!

You can get it at any park window, TTC or Downtown Disney. I usually get mine at whatever park I am visiting first.

The resorts only have limited access to the ticketing system and can't do all of the ticketing transactions that can be done at the parks, including issuing annual passes.

I bought mine online and then took the print-out voucher to Epcot Guest Relations where I stopped on our way from the airport to the hotel.

It was shortly after 8 PM, so we could just drive through the parking plaza and there were no lines at guest relations either.

We normally stay at BCV and found the ticket window at the International Gateway to be the easiest and most convenient. There has never been a line, but maybe we've just been lucky!

We're headed there in August and plan to get AP's for the first time (we're DVC newbies).

I like the idea of purchasing the AP's online prior to the visit, but I'm guessing that won't work if we wanted to use our Get A Day passes credited towards the cost, right?

Are you my evil twin? This is exactly our situation - going in August, first time to buy an AP, and want to use our GAD voucher.

From what I've read and been told - we can't buy it online (full price) and get a credit for the GAD somehow - that has to be done at a ticket window.

Also, we can't buy one of the cheaper park hoppers that you can upgrade to an AP and double dip on the discounts. We have to pick one or the other. we're picking to use the GAD voucher value.

I guess I am more confused now. How do you get your AP online and still get the DVC discount? I went to WDW website and I didnt see a place to enter DVC info just the price and to order the passes at regular prices.

You need to do it from dvcmember.com

I don't know about "evil" but confused or goofy might work!

I haven't called MS to confirm this, but from what I've read on the boards, we can use both the GAD and the DVC discounts. I read something about trading up hoppers, but by then my head starts to spin. I think I have the DVC/GAD steps down so I think I'll just stick with those.

To get all of our discounts, I ended up calling MS. I couldn't find how to get credit for the GAD on the website. We just renewed our AP's last week. We received the DVC discount plus the GAD discount for each of us, plus we got the special renewal deal of 15 months for the price of 12!!!

Did you do your renewal online, on the phone with MS, or at a ticket booth? Everything I've read has indicated you can only get the GAD cost application at a ticket booth when you turn in your GAD voucher. I'd rather take care of buying the AP (DVC) before we go if we can since we're getting in late and want to hit an early breakfast (with TIW) our first morning.
