DVC and other locations

We may be moving to the Netherlands. How does my DVC transfer to other locations around the world?

You can still use them at DVC resorts and trade out for RCI exchanges.

Deb and Bill, How does the RCI trade out work? Is it cheaper to use $$ instead of points? Heck, I will have 235 points and don't plan on flying back to the States.

Disneyland Paris is part of the Disney collection. $95 exchange fee just like for RCI.

We had to know so I just called DVC. I made a different post for the information I was told.

1. Any trade requires $95
2. RCI also charges housekeeping fees.
3. DLP requires $95, 2 nites and park passes.

We did find a few locations in Italy that we could get to but it would require a flight rather than a quick train. There also is not much in England for nightly stays.

I am now thinking that renting my points out to someone during a high time or for a week stay would be better use of my points.

there are a couple options in austria through club cordial

may be better to rent out your points if you are not going to use them

Well thank you fitnessmouse. We are not solid on our choice yet for DH to take the job. But wanted to explore what we could do with our DVC points if we do move. I did learn from the options that renting our points for a longer period and hopefully large villas. I have rented in the past and it isn't hateful but time consuming and I am a worrier.

We would move to Rotterdam and it is not where we want to be but a great location to travel to places we want to visit.

How do you like the Netherlands?
