I'm sorry if this has already been posted, for the life of me I've been unable to do a search today.
My dad and step-mom are looking into transferring a timeshare week from II into the Orlando area for a family vacation. I'm trying to talk them into a DVC property to be in the middle of the magic.
A question I had, though, is Magical Express included for the DVC? Does it matter how they're getting it? Will there be problems if we fly separately?

Thanks.

Yes. If your dad and step-mom use their II-affiliated timeshare to trade into one of the five on-site DVC resorts, everyone who will be staying in the room (up to the capacity of the room) will be entitled to use Disney's Magical Express — even if arriving on different flights.

DVC resorts are much tougher trades than other Orlando area timeshares. But it can be done, especially if one is flexible with travel dates.

II members trading into on-site DVC resorts are required to pay a $95 fee to Disney in addition to the exchange fee to II. But it's worth it, considering that you can save the cost of a rental car if you use Disney's Magical Express and WDW Transportation. Even though there are many fine timeshare resorts in the Orlando are (such as the Marriotts), the DVC resorts are the best of all of them.
