DVC 3 bedroom villas at Wilderness Lodge(Bolder Ridge Villas)??

It's possible, but I think it's far more likely that we'll see a Club Level booking category since it seems to do so well at AKV. They could easily dangle that carrot to distract potential new buyers from seeing the better resale deal WAY OVER yonder at VWL-1.
I doubt we'll see club level but you never know. I'm not sure they do so well at AKV either, it's hard to say much with only 5 rooms (2BR) total. No concierge at GF & Poly seems to answer that question it seems.

The difference here is the new villa rooms will be in close proximately to the existing hotel's club level. GF and Poly would not have been, or would have required the addition of the service in the DVC villa areas.

As has been mentioned, there will have to be something unique offered to justify the increased direct price per point. After this latest tragedy I'm not so sure the waterfront cabins are going to be that big of a draw.

Disney will recover, signs will be changed, people will move on. If this is the only resort being sold direct at WDW, they don't have to justify anything, just create the illusion that the project is something special.

I doubt this will make any long term difference in prices, attendance or sales.

We'll have to disagree. Club level has been in existence and in demand at WL for years; what goes on at the Poly or GF has absolutely no impact on that (nor has been as practical). Also, along with the Value rooms, the club level rooms at AKV are consistently the first to go; frequently walked in fact. Regardless, I find it highly likely there will be club level rooms at the new CCV. There's no reason not to have them.

You're probably right, but I also find it likely that if the design of these "shore line cabins" did not include some sort of barrier between the dwelling and the shore line that it will now. There's no way Disney can now have people walking out of these cabins with access to the shore just behind them or freely allow whatever is in the water to have access the cabins. Something similar to the Poly bungalows but on the shore will have to be incorporated.

It's OK to disagree, the origin of the club at AKV was a requisite for getting to do the project from what I can see. They're had other opportunities, if it was worth it, they would have done it anyway. It might happen because of location but I doubt it. We'll see.

There are also only 5 Club Level rooms (max of 10 bookable units). Not surprising the rarest unit in DVC books quickly...

IMO CL at Jambo happened due to the location of the 6th floor DVC rooms and the CL lounge.

If DVC CL made Disney a profit, they would relabel existing DVC rooms as CL and they would be adding them to all new projects even if the guest has to walk across the resort.

I'm wondering if the lake front cabins may not be 3 BR units. And I'm not 100% convinced they'll be point values at or above the Bungalows. These aren't castle lookin', firework seein', MK view rooms. We're now back off the monorail loop premium area. But who knows.

Ok I am out of the loop...
I know they are renovating and building more Dvc at WL.
Are they calling this copper creek?
Thanks
Kerri

Yes.

And the "old" VWL is officially "Boulder Ridge Villas at Wilderness Lodge." o_O

So we who own at the Villas of Wilderness Lodge, Boulder Ridge Villas, will not have an 11-month booking advantage at the new DVC, Copper Creek Villas and Cabins, at Wilderness Lodge. We'll have the 7 month booking window. Unless of course we buy points at the new DVC resort. I can't see what view a person would have at the cabins - just some boats going by and some alligators looking for a handout - or a hand.

OK, I guess I am confused about these name changes and why in the first place. We have the existing DVC VWL, the renovated south wing into DVC and the new on the water cabins. What is what??...smjj

The south wing suites and cabins will be Copper Creek. The Classic VWL is being renamed (by some) to Boulder Ridge blahblahblah. . .

Oh, and the why is because a)they needed to name the new ones something and b) one assumes they wanted VWL to never be confused with Copper Creek. Two whole new names. . .both of which suck.

Renaming the Classic VWL is really a contract thing. Because the new DVC and the existing DVC will be entirely separate condo associations, they're making a non-material change to the original to make it really clear NOT THE SAME K!!!!

I predict people get confused anyway and wonder why they don't get 11-month. Because of course they will.
