I went through their website to request, was asked date of travel etc. no card came. I went back online, same thing...asked date, completed the request online. No card came. I called and they assured me that it was fine and the card comes near to your trip date, but no card came. Soooo... Called them and explained. They had no record of my two online requests!! (The previous call, the CM was giving me overall info to my question, since I was curious as to why I did not receive the card). Now it was getting quite close to travel. It was irritating that they clearly thought I was making up a story, but to their credit (and Disney training), they handled it fairly well and the last person I spoke with did end up working with me and overnighted it to my street address.
Overall, I did not have success requesting it online. This was last year, and the DVA website was often slow and problematic. Now that it is months later, hopefully whatever caused my issues are resolved. The gift card was nice to get in the end!!
When you request your bonus card it should have asked for a date you'll be traveling (this is separate from the date you provided when you named the account or gave a "goal deadline") - it you put April then I believe they aim to have it around two weeks before your departure date you provided. I'm not cruising again until August but I do want my bonus cards sooner rather than later this time around so I put the end of March was my travel date after I paid off my next two cruises. I'll see if they come then
