Dumb question about Magic Bands

I'm sure I missed this somewhere, but when we receive our magic bands after linking our reservations and tickets, are they already loaded with our room key, FP+s, and tickets? Or do we have to sync them at checkin?

We made all of our selections, customization, etc weeks in advance of them shipping the bands to us, including a room request with DVC MS. All of our FP+ selections show perfectly on MDE. The customizations were perfect, but just wondering about the meat of the thing.

We arrived on Nov 30 and at check-in the CM never touched our bands. Our room wasn't ready but she said that the bands would open the doors. They worked without any problem. Same with APs and fast passes, mine worked flawlessly and DH's worked 3/4 of the time. His always showed up on their screens though. They really seem to be on top of it.
 
We did not do anything at check-in other than select our PIN. The CM did tell us that we should both try opening the room door to make sure both of the bands worked.

For tickets, we had a will call number for the PAPs that we had purchased rather than actual tickets. I had linked the will call number but still had to go to Guest Relations to pick up the actual PAPs (and show our DVC cards, ID, etc.) After that we were good to go into the parks.
 
Nothing is loaded on the bands. They simply have an encoded number that accesses your MDEx profile. Therefore, anything that is linked to your profile (resort stays, park tickets, FP+s, etc.) will be accessible by your band. The bands can be brought back trip after trip and will be able to read whatever is linked to your profile at that time.

We each had four bands during our November split stay. We were able to use all four for both resort reservations as well as park entry, charging and FP+ redemption. We will be bringing them back later this month (along with the bands we received for that trip) and will be able to use all of them interchangeably. They did nothing to them at check in. All bands are active when they are shipped to you.
 

You just need to make sure your MBs are active on your MDE website. Our were already active when we received them in the mail. But you can deactivate them too. So I would check and make sure they are still active.
