When the cruises of the West Coast first came out last year, I called Costco and booked a couple rooms...of course, now that so much time has passed, I can't remember when my balance is due, when I need to take care of things, what my balance even is, etc...so, if I can't find my earlier paperwork, does Costco send out an automatic billing for my balance? Do I need to call them?

THANKS for your help to this new cruiser!

I was wondering if Costco would bill me too. Or is it my responsibility to call in for final payment. I have my paperwork so if you want me to count how many days in advance it's due I can help you there. The other part I'm sure someone will answer.

I'm sure all that information was printed on my documents from Costco. I don't recall them having a due date any different from the cruiseline, but maybe they added a few processing days??? Anyway, call them, but if this is a summer cruise, you still have a little time.

It is your responsibility to contact Costco and authorize final payment on your credit card. I'm looking at the little brochure Costco sent me with the first invoice. It says "We must have your authorization for final pyament to be charged to your card. You also will have the opportunity to utilize a different credit card at the time you make final payment. To authorize final payment be charged to your credit card, you must contact Coscto Travel on or before the designated date at the bottom of your invoice, or e-mail us your authorization (do not give credit card details) at cruise@cwctravel.com

I recommend you call Costco and find out when your final payment is due. Make a note of it and then contact them to authorize final payment.

You will not receive a notice from Costco that your final payment is due. You also do not receive a receipt for your final payment. You must save your credit card bill as proof of final payment.

Hope this helps.

I had to call Costco about our cruise yesterday. They were able to access my account by my last name. They do need the final payment in one payment. I had wanted to break it up into two or three payments, but they couldn't do that. Our payment for Royal Carribean is due 90 days prior.
Good luck.

When I transferred our cruise to Costco, I was told that full payment is due 90 days from our cruise date and that I would not be getting a statement or reminder that it is due. I have to keep track of that myself.

We have booked our 1/16 Wonder w/ Costco. No problems so far. They will not remind you of anything - it is up to you to call in your payment, or set up your credit card for autopay on the day it is due. FYI, Costco's final payment due date is earlier than DCL's. They want to make sure that they get your payment to DCL on time. My BF and I booked our cruises at the same time - hers w/DCL, mine w/Costco. My final was due a couple of weeks before hers. Not a problem for me, since I saved about $500 going through Costco. Also, their current DCL giveaway for Executive members is a lanyard room key holder. A nice little perk.

I wasn't a Costco Executive member at the time I booked...but am now and will be when final payment is due. Do you have any idea if I'll receive this lanyard?

The final payment is due 90 days before the cruise and they don't send you a bill as a reminder, but they do send another reciept of your final payment. I just got mine in the mail. If you want to schedule shore excursions, you have to call Disney directly, once you're within that 90 window and have made your payment.
