Dumb booking question

What time does the booking window open? Is it 8am Florida time? I haven't booked in awhile (we generally do DVC travel every other year) but I've got a few points left that I need to use and I'm thinking of trying to snag a night. But for the life of me, I can't remember the time and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Anyone want to help me out? TIA.
 
The Computer rolls over, and releases new reservations at 8 AM Eastern time. You need to adjust that for your time zone. For me, that is 6 AM. When there is something I really want, I sign on at 5:40 AM and start looking around. I open up SEVERAL browser windows. As it gets to within a few minutes of 6, I start clicking on the buttons, trying to see if it will let me in to reserve. Eventually, it does, and if no one else has beat me IN, then I get what I want.

Why do I start trying the booking buttons early? Because, in the past, sometimes, the computer has let people in early. I have even heard of people getting in as much as 5 hours early. But I don’t know if that happens anymore, with the changes in the program.

Of course, after I got what I needed this morning, I discovered a schedule conflict and realized I need to book March 2nd and not March 1st. So I get to do this again tomorrow. And it's 5am for me. :sad:

Do you have a week or at least more than one day booked? If so, tomorrow I would just call member services to drop March 1st and add the day you need to the end of your reservation. Hopefully someday we can do that ourselves online, if IT gets their act in gear.

No, unfortunately. I am trying to use some points that are going to expire and am only booking one night. I goofed up with my college student's schedule and realized she will be student teaching in March so I need to do a Sat night instead of a Friday. :/ Guess it's another early morning for me tomorrow! (I wish the bookings opened at midnight like DCL cruise check in.)
