Question for timing of the dues for an add on contract. I know they are pro-rated based upon closing date.

My question is that we got an email yesterday congratulating us on closing and suggesting we sign up for auto pay (which I am not doing). Last year when I got that email regarding our initial contract our dues were available to be paid right away. Now when I go it still shows $0.00 for the new contract.

I am just curious what people's experience has been recently. Thanks.

I did an add-on in December, paid 10% plus closing costs and they hit my credit card for the balance 30 days later. The dues were not posted to my account until about a week after that final payment.

We had a similar experience last summer with dues not appearing after adding on so I opted to wait and see. We received a hard copy bill in the mail for the pro-rated dues about a month after closing and paid them online after receiving that bill. After receiving the bill, they were available to pay online.

In my experience, dues were not calculated and communicated to us until about 5 days after closing. Also, they were pro-rated based on purchase date. I purchased in November with a 90-day payment and it just closed in February. Dues were retroactive based on my date of purchase.

We added on on December 6th and I believe it closed on December 28th. Dues didn’t show on the account until January 20th. We were at WDW that week and the CM at the kiosk suggested we check about them at the Epcot lounge since they have access to full account information. The 20th was a Epcot day, so that morning I checked and the dues were there.

Thanks for the info. I’ll just keep checking each day until they are there.

They give you at least 30 days to pay them (that's been my experience anyway) so don't sweat it.

We added on in December and never received a paper bill, I just happened to check the website and saw it on there in February. Keep checking!

We added on in December, but haven't closed quite yet, and this is what I'm worried about. I don't want to miss a bill because I received no notification.

Maybe this timeline will help some of you:

12/20/21 - Added on; paid 10% + closing costs. Points were in my account the next day (I bought about 5 PM).
1/15/22 - Final 90% paid (predetermined date that I chose that was after my credit card statement cut off date)
1/18/22 - Deed was recorded in Orange County, FL
1/21/22 - Received email that my annual dues statement was available
2/14/22 - Due date of dues on statement (but consider grace period below)
3/1/22 - Dues considered late if not paid
