What about DDR requires the 44 inch height stipulation? Just curious as my 5 year old has been riding flumes for several years and is going to have to be steered away from this one. Thanks

DDR has a pretty intense, steep double flume at the end. In addition, you are seated one by one instead of side by side, making it harder to supervise a smaller child. Finally, you are straddling a bench rather than in individual seats, and there are no belts or bars to hold you in. I would say that the 44" height restriction is on target for this ride.

Thanks for the info! I warned her today that she won't be able to ride but that she will have tons of fun on the raft ride (if only I will have the courage to go with her! I hate getting drenched!).

You will definitely get soaked on the Bilgerat Barges! It is a lot of fun, though, and your daughter should love it.
