Dubai theme park who is going to build it.

I keep reading about a new theme park in Dubai. Who is really going to build it? Disney? Merlin? Universal? Or Six Flags? I would lean towards Merlin but Six Flags was written up in April but that feal may have died. So who will it be?

Disney will never build a park in Dubai......not even a timeshare as much!!! Why would Disney invest in a place where their guests can get arrested for kissing?????

Not Disney, that's for sure. I remember reports of some enterpreneur who wanted to take Disney to Dubai, talking about a substantial investment to develop unique attractions, and Disney refused. I can see Six Flags or Merlin building a theme park over there though.

The appeal of Dubai totally escapes me. I just don't get why westerners travel/live there. To each his own I suppose.

I completely agree!! I am not a fan of PDA but it happens a lot at amusement parks and westerners can't seem to help themselves in that regard!!!! Dubai did get over 10 million tourists last year!! That's 3 million more guests than Universal Orlando so there is a market for an amusement park there!!
