DU price HIGHER than DCL???! I must be "missing the boat."

Could it be? I must be missing something! I got a qoute today for my 2/7/04 sailing, cat #9 from DU that was higher than DCL by $400. Is this possible? I thought DU was the way to go, and up until now, all of their rates have been comparable. DCL was 2695 to DU 2991. Anyone who can offer me some reason? OF course I would prefer DU!

I haven'y heard back from DU agent yet, but hope it is a misqoute. If anyone has had this experience, please pass your info along. As always, thanks for all the help.

Are you sure your quotes are comparable in terms of trip insurance, airfare or transfers included or not included? Dreams gets their pricing directly from DCL and then rebates on top of that, so either there is a typo in your quote or you're not comparing exactly the same things.

One other possibility, if you got your quote from DCL a while ago, is that the early booking savings for your cruise date has changed. Prices DO go up on sailings.

I think maybe Michelle is right. It appears to me that the difference between the 2 quotes of $296.00 is that insurance was included on the request from Dreams (first 2 passengers at $99 and the 3rd and 4th at $49 each).
