DU and AP Rates?

We have always planned our own trips and did great with obtaining AP rates for our stays. We did have to be flexible with the resorts we would stay at but it had always worked out. This coming April, we will be taking a Disney cruise and want to stay at the Poly. I know I can't guarantee an AP rate but do you think booking through DU will help?

How many of you AP holders book through DU and get the AP rates for your stay? Do they stand a better chance of getting it than we do booking ourselves?

As I said, in the past we were flexible with our resort choices and therefore always secured an AP rate, but this time we really want a monorail hotel, preferably the Poly at an AP rate.

DU got me AP rates for the three rooms that I booked this past June to July. It was really nice not to have to worry about calling and having someone else do that portion of my planning.
I think that most likely there are only so many rooms available under the AP rates. Whether you use DU or another agency does not change that, but I think that because they are aware of when the rates are available and can call or go on line or whatever it is they do right away, your chances may be better

That's what I'm hoping. I was thinking that maybe they have some pull and can wrangle an AP rate better than I could. It may be worth a try.

I'm an AP holder who uses DU. Just remember to let them know that you have an AP! We've gotten discounts through them each time we've visited with our AP's.
