DTD - The End is Here

Downtown Disney officially ceases to exist tomorrow, Tuesday, 9/29/15.

All of the roadway signs on WDW property have already been changed to Disney Springs.

I don't know how long it will take to swap out the signs at the resort bus stops and switch the bus marquees, but I would expect not more than a few days, if not immediately.

Construction at DS will continue at least until next summer.

The bus marquees were slowly changing throughout last week to say both Downtown Disney & Disney Springs.

Have been staying away from DTD for the last couple of years because of all the construction. Heard they had one of the parking garages open so we figured we'd work a visit into this trip. Tuesday Sept 29, took my usual route but no signage for DTD, almost got lost. Arrived at DTD then realized that the name had been changed to Disney Springs. On our way back to the resort, noticed the road signs had Disney Springs instead of DTD.
