DTD Starbucks Question

I was looking through some older posts but wasn’t understanding what people were saying.

At the downtown Disney Starbucks, can we do mobile ordering? Also, can we redeem free drink/food rewards there? I know some Starbucks you can’t use your rewards because they aren’t a main store.
I’m a frequent Starbucks goer so I always have food and drink rewards. Wanted to save some money on breakfast in the parks! Lol

You can redeem free rewards at the downtown Disney. I've never found it in the mobile ordering option (to find the store)

I think you can mobile order to the DTD locations, but not park locations

You can do Mobile Ordering to both of the DTD Starbucks locations. Just make sure you're sending the order to the one you want to pick it up from...I used the Mobile Order feature to the location closest to the parks last week and it was great. You can use Rewards (and earn Stars/Points) at the DTD locations, along with pay by gift card.

• Downtown Disney Store (1570 S. Disneyland Drive) is the location closest to the park.
• Downtown Disney West (1565 S. Disneyland Drive) is the location closest to DLH.

You can also earn Stars/Points and pay with a gift card (including via the app) at the in-park locations, but you cannot use Mobile Ordering or redeem Rewards.

DTD Starbucks West announced its closing date as June 23rd, so after that it should be easy to remember which store to pick for mobile ordering! CMs didn't know if there were any plans to move to a kiosk or other storefront location during the construction period.

Just a word of warning though... do not trust the times listed on the app. It usually states 8-13 minutes. I’ve ordered before and had to wait more than 20, and this morning I got there in 9 and my croissant was already cold. The times on the app mean nothing, it is not real time waits. I usually order once we get in the tram line, so 7-9 minutes before we walk in the door. It is totally hit or miss.

Good to know! When I go next week, I was planning on ordering once I parked at Mickey and Friends, and then go through security and catch tram, and then get it. I wonder if that will be too much time in between now.

This morning I ordered basically as the tram pulled up and my food was cold when I got there. Security took us a solid 5-10 minutes more prior to that.

When our drinks are iced, we order as soon as we board the tram. It's okay if they sit a few minutes longer waiting. For hot drinks, we order when we arrive at DTD. But we play this by ear depending on how crowded the parks are (e.g. if the trams are super crowded, then DTD probably will be, too; so maybe we need to give our order a bit more time) and the weather (e.g. is it super hot/cold? will everyone be at Starbucks for drinks, too? maybe we need to give our order a bit more time...).

Yes, you can mobile order. We did it this past weekend.
