Hi! My DS5 is a very squrimy sleeper. We are booked in stateroom 7562 for an upcoming cruise. I saw a picture of the cabin on this board (thanks!!) and the top bunk looked like the bed rail was not that long. Can you get extra rails? Should I lug my adjustable railing along in the suitcase? Any help from previous cruisers would really be appreciated!

Why can't he sleep on the sofa bed? Is someone else sleeping there?

My DS and DD are wigglers and they had no problems. But your DS is 5 that might make a difference. My DS on our first crusie was 8 and he is a small 8, no problems. Have to say though he does not wiggle as much as DD. No one likes to sleep with her.

You can request bedrails. I don't know what they look like, but I do know that they can provide them. :flower:

I would not let a 5 year old sleep on the top bunk...the rail they have there doesn't cover much area at all. My friends daughter was in a similar bed elsewhere, fell out and broke her collarbone....not worth the chance! The rail is really small.

No nothing is worth the chance.

I'm not loving the idea of DS being up on that bunk! Do you think 2 little kids (3 and 5 ) could comfortably sleep in the bottom bunk?

We put DD4 up on that top bunk. She doesn't squirm at all so I was not concerned about her falling out, but I had to help her down the ladder when she had to go to the bathroom. The ladders are a bit tricky to maneuver.

We asked for a bedrail for DD3 sleeping in the lower bunk. It was the mesh kind that we use at home.

I really don't think both kids could sleep in the lower bunk together comfortably. Maybe if you could put one's head at the top and one at the bottom.

I don't know if this would be acceptable to you, but what if one adult and two kids slept in the large bed, and one adult slept in the sofa bed?

My poor DH - the kids kick him out of bed at home too! Sounds like the top bunk would not be great for either kid. Is the bottom bunk large enough for an adult? Thanks for all the replies!

One adult could sleep on the bottom. I am not sure how comfortable he or she would be, but it is possible.
