I'll be picking DS up at the airport tonight for a 28-day leave from the USAF. He will then be leaving for Misawa, Japan for a couple of years. He just turned 20 years old, finished his cybersecurity electronics classes and is ready to start his career. But first, coming home to see family and friends. He's only been home once in the last 18 months and that was only for a week at Xmas so he's looking forward to hooking up with his buddies. We're so excited

Of course, we had the two hour car ride home from the airport to catch up and then stopped at my parents' home for a quick visit, but he carried his stuff into the house, dumped it in his old room, grabbed and heated some leftover lasagna, and then yelled up the stairs "see ya later, going to hang with some friends". Yep, just like old times
